Tucker Carlson is one of the most controversial and popular podcasters in America.
But Carlson may be looking at a bigger picture than just conservative media.
And Tucker Carlson just dropped the bombshell about running for President in 2028.
Carlson Expresses Frustration with the Two Parties
Tucker Carlson famously broke with President Trump over the Iran War.
Carlson opposed the conflict, but was even more disgusted with establishment Republicans who pressured Trump to go even further and deploy hundreds of thousands of ground troops into Iran.
In an appearance on the Can’t Be Censored podcast, Carlson said he couldn’t vote Republican this fall because he felt Congressional Republicans stopped putting America First.
“I would not support the Republican Party. There’s no chance I would support the Republican Party,” Carlson stated.
But Carlson went on to say he could never vote for a Democrat because the left is pro-abortion, pro-open borders, and anti-white men.
“I’m not going to support the Democratic Party — I’m not sure what I’m going to do,” Carlson added.
Will Tucker Carlson Run for President in 2028?
Carlson’s broadside against the two major parties led to speculation that he was positioning himself for a third-party run for President in 2028.
In an interview with pro-Trump podcaster Alex Jones, Carlson shot down any chance of him running for President in 2028.
Carlson repeated his frustration with Republicans for focusing on foreign affairs and ignoring domestic issues.
“How could I or any American voter support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States. That puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens. It’s not possible to vote for people like that, and I’m not going to,” Carlson told Jones.
Carlson went on to say that he wanted to be involved in the 2028 discourse, but he would not run for President.
“I don’t want to run for president. I do want to be involved in offering an option of some kind. I don’t know what that would look like, but it’s not democracy when, no matter who you vote for, you get the same result,” Carlson added.
Jones then tried to goad Carlson into opening the door by asking whether two establishment candidates, such as Marco Rubio and Gavin Newsom, could serve as the Republican and Democratic Party nominees for President.
“Tucker, you know, you’d beat Gavin Newsom, you know, you’d beat Marco Rubio. I mean, you need to run for president,” Jones replied.
Calrson answered that if Rubio and Newsom were the nominees, it was a sad state of affairs and that he knows from his discussions with Trump that Trump believes Newsom can win because he’s willing to say anything to get elected.
“If the options are Gavin Newsom and Marco Rubio, I don’t think, I mean, this is — I know Trump is very convinced that Gavin has his shot and Gavin has an advantage in that he’s a sociopath who will say anything without while passing a lie detector test,” Carlson stated.
Carlson said his main issue with the political system is the levels of anti-white racism the left has embedded in institutions, which Carlson explained hurt the country since white men built the nation’s political institutions.
“[The system] is not producing impressive people. And every empire is the same in this one regard,” Carlson remarked. “When its system fails to produce a leadership class capable of running this huge thing that the ancestors built, then it collapses. And so we need to fix that, like immediately. And the first thing to do is stop discriminating against white men. They built all of this in the first place. They have a pretty good track record. So knock it off. Give them a fair shot.”
