President Trump wants to wrap up the war against Iran and sign a peace deal as soon as possible.
Many Trump supporters trust that he won’t let this conflict turn into a decades-long, forever war like the debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Trump shares that sentiment and is looking to end this war in victory at the earliest moment.
Representatives from Iran and the United States were set to meet again in Pakistan for a second round of peace talks.
But the talks fell into limbo as Iran objected to a U.S. Naval blockade and then fired on commercial ships, a move President Trump declared a violation of the two-week ceasefire that America and Iran negotiated.
Despite that, Trump said his representatives still planned to travel to Pakistan for peace talks.
“Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations,” Trump posted on Twitter.
Trump argued that because of the blockade, a status quo of a constant state of war hurt Iran more than the United States.
“Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it. They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones who lose with the closed passage, 500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be “the tough guy!” Trump added.
But Trump warned that his patience was wearing thin and he wanted this war over.
And as such, he put Iran on notice that it was “no more Mr. Nice Guy” if it didn’t agree to a peace deal by the time the ceasefire expired and that he would order the U.S. military to destroy every power plant and bridge in the country.
“We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy, and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran by other Presidents for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!” Trump concluded.
