President Trump knew it was time for action.
Trump handled business the only way he knows how.
And Trump made one promise to Trey Gowdy that Democrats will hate to hear.
Trump Lays Out the Stakes for the Midterm Election
The midterm election is less than 60 days away.
That means the stretch run for the battle over control of Congress has begun.
Trump understands that it’s not just the majority in the House and Senate that is at stake, but the future of his Presidency as well.
If Democrats win Congress, they can block his agenda, slam the brakes on nominees, launch endless investigations, and impeach him for a third time.
In an interview with Fox News host Trey Gowdy, Trump warned that the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) are pulling the party so far to the left that even the remaining “sane” Democrats have no choice but to go along or risk losing their seat in a primary.
“And what’s happened is you’re seeing Democrats, of which there are fewer and fewer, are forced to vote in a way that they would not vote, and they don’t even believe in their vote. But if they don’t vote that way, they lose power,” Trump stated.
The DSA platform calls for the government to seize private businesses and abolish the Senate, the Presidency, the Supreme Court, prisons, and America’s borders.
Trump is sounding the alarm that if a Democrat Party under the control of the DSA wins power, America will transform into an unrecognizable third world socialist state.
Trump’s Midterm Promise
After delivering his warning about the dangers America faces if the Democrats win, Trump laid out his plan to keep Congress under control of the Republicans.
Trump predicted Republicans would have a good Election Night because he planned to campaign this fall with the same intensity that he did in 2024, meaning no days off and on the trail every day.
“With all of that being said, I think we’re going to do well, and I’m going to go campaign like I did. You know, I took off when we had the presidential election. I took off 120 days, four months, every single day I was on the trail, and if I didn’t make one or two or three speeches, I was I felt guilty,” Trump stated.
Trump told Gowdy that his willingness to leave it all on the field proved pivotal in 2024.
“And Kamala, when I looked at her schedule, because you know they’re printed schedules, she was she took all this time off. She didn’t really campaign very hard,” Trump continued.
“And I said, wait a minute, you’re going for the gold ring. You’re going to make America great again. You’re going to do. You got to go every single day, so it’s 120 days. So, I campaigned for 120 days without missing a day,” Trump concluded.
Trump previously told Republicans to pretend like his name is on the ballot.
In reality, his Presidency is, and Trump is campaigning like it, knowing that Republicans win elections when Republicans are voting in a referendum on Trump, and they lose elections when his name isn’t on the ballot and it’s an up-or-down vote on the performance of Congressional Republicans.
