Fox News is in the middle of a media firestorm.
Gasoline just got thrown on the fire.
And Sarah Palin exposed one ugly truth about Fox News that viewers need to buckle up for.
Sarah Palin Explains How Fox News Isn’t Friendly to Conservatives
Fox News is taking heat for parting ways with pro-Trump Maria Bartiromo after Bartiromo alerted the White House that Fox News censored her report on President Trump’s speech outlining how Communist China meddled in the 2020 election to rig the contest for Joe Biden.
This wasn’t the first time Fox News censored a conservative for challenging the establishment’s narrative.
Former Alaska Governor and 2008 Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin revealed Fox News fired her after she fought back against a smear in the New York Times that falsely blamed her for a madman shooting then Democrat Congresswoman Gabby Giffords in the head.
The Times ran an editorial falsely asserting that Palin’s PAC published a map of targeted Congressional districts in the 2010 midterms with bullseyes marking them, which spurred the lunatic to carry out the shooting.
Fox banned Palin from defending herself and then fired her when she spoke out against the lies.
“1) I lost my @FoxNews employee contract after refusing to sit quiet during NYT’s false and defaming allegations against me that I was to blame for the mass murder in AZ causing the deaths of a federal judge, an innocent child and others, and injury of Rep. Gabby Giffords (D). Fox wouldn’t defend me so I defended myself after being told by Roger Ailes I was not to talk about it on the air. Fox was capitalizing on the controversy while my reputation was getting ripped to threads, so I spoke up, as any responsible, ethical, innocent American would. They canned me for “disobeying,” as per word from on high,” Palin wrote on X.
The Murdoch Family
Palin then exposed how Fox News canceled her guest appearance on Jesse Watters’ show after she warned that network founder Rupert Murdoch putting his sons James and Lachlan in charge of Fox was bad news.
“2) Later, no longer an employee, they cancelled my scheduled @JesseBWatters guest interview after I shared my opinion with @ericbolling that @rupertmurdoch handing management reins to his sons resulted in the network straying from the Right, due to the sons’ liberal-leaning wives’ influence. I was never allowed on-air again. (I stand by my stated observation that – good, bad or ugly – Fox changed when Rupert’s influence subsided.),” Palin added.
James Murdoch later left Fox and validated Palin’s worries about how he intended to shift the network into a clone of CNN by declaring in a 2025 interview that Fox News was a “menace to American democracy” and a “blight.”
A Pattern at Fox News
Palin concluded her post by agreeing that Fox News had every right to take whatever editorial stance it wanted and hire and fire whoever it pleased, but noted that the only network personalities who lost their jobs were the ones who challenged dominant media narratives.
“Pretty fascinating behind-the-scenes actions I observed in all my years working for, and with, Fox. It’s their prerogative to shift wherever they want to go, and more power to them exercising their absolute right to hire and fire whomever they deem best fits their agenda, but interesting that independent characters refusing to go along just to get along (all to collect a paycheck) seem to be the ones shunned. I went rogue by speaking up for truth. I’ll continue to do so,” Palin concluded.
