Trump allies are raising serious questions about foreign interference in American politics.
The target is Vice President JD Vance — and the attacks keep coming from a very specific direction.
And now a Republican close to the White House is calling out the foreign media outlet that has been going after Vance for months.
Who Is Emily Schrader and Who Funds Her Platform?
Emily Schrader is a host at ILTV Israel News and appears regularly on JNS — the Jewish News Syndicate — where she has made targeting Vice President JD Vance something of a personal project in recent months.
In a June 2026 post on X, Schrader wrote that “JD Vance is the biggest clown of all.”
In a July 2026 X post, she mocked the idea that any Israeli-linked effort was behind the attacks on Vance, writing that “JD Vance doesn’t need an Israeli conspiracy to explain why people criticize his foolish view of the Islamic regime,” and claiming that “Americans, Israelis, Iranians, Arabs, and national security experts have watched him misread the regime, smear allies, ignore Qatar’s documented influence operations, and now even portray 94 million Iranians as a terrorist threat.”
But the platforms she uses to deliver those attacks have financial and ownership ties that tell a different story about who is behind this campaign.
JNS, which hosts much of Schrader’s content, received significant funding from the Adelson Family Foundation, according to a Jewish Telegraphic Agency report. The Adelson Family Foundation — established by Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, both major donors to Republican and Trump-aligned causes — committed at least $1.2 million to JNS, including $300,000 in 2013, $450,000 in 2014, and another $450,000 pledged. Inside Philanthropy listed JNS among the foundation’s recent Israel advocacy grantees.
ILTV Israel News, the other platform where Schrader appears frequently as a host, bills itself as “an independent English-language media company based in Tel Aviv, Israel that provides daily Israel news and entertainment to its viewers” and “Israel’s Largest English News Channel.” Until May 2026, ILTV was owned by Simon Falic — described as a close friend and ally of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — and David Herzog. The outlet was then sold to New York tech entrepreneur Reuven Moskowitz and the network’s CEO, Tom Zadok.
So the person calling Vance a “clown” and dismissing concerns about foreign influence campaigns operates from platforms with documented financial ties to Israeli government-aligned donors and, until recently, an owner described as a close Netanyahu ally.
What Vance Actually Said — and Why It Matters
Vance raised the foreign influence question directly during a July 2026 appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, referencing a Time magazine report about former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale running an Israeli government-funded influence operation targeting the MAGA base.
According to reporting from Time, Parscale’s firm Clock Tower X was retained to produce pro-Israel content aimed at preventing young conservatives from turning against Israel. Parscale is a registered foreign agent of the Israeli government.
“When I open up the pages of Time magazine, and I see that there’s a literal foreign influence campaign being funded to tank the very deal that I was pursuing, and many of the people who were receiving that money were actually attacking me in completely dishonest ways,” Vance told Rogan, “my response to that is, well, go to hell. I’m going to do what I have to do for the American people.”
Vance also said on the podcast that “there are some people within their system, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt, who are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion to keep the w[ar going].”
Those are not the words of a man who stumbled into a controversy. That is a Vice President defending Trump’s America First diplomatic effort to end a foreign war — the exact mandate voters gave this administration in 2024.
Neoconservative and interventionist critics have lined up to call Vance’s comments reckless. The same voices who spent years pushing for military confrontation with Iran now want to delegitimize the diplomat who is trying to prevent another forever war from consuming American resources and American lives. Their objections deserve the same skepticism applied to every other argument the foreign policy establishment has made since Iraq.
A Track Record That Raises Real Questions
Schrader’s social media history, dating from 2020 through 2026 and obtained by the Daily Caller, shows repeated criticism of both Trump and his foreign policy.
In a May 23, 2026 post, she wrote: “If President Trump actually agrees to the deal being discussed it would be worse than the JCPOA for the region and the world and will likely define his legacy as that of weakness and failure.”
In another post, she called one of Trump’s foreign policy decisions his worst yet, describing it as an embarrassment to the United States while emphasizing that South Korea was a key US ally and North Korea was an oppressive communist dictatorship.
A separate YouTube post features Schrader calling Trump a “psycho who says really disgusting sexist things.”
And other posts show Schrader expressing support for prominent Democrats — including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Joe Biden, including praise for Biden’s foreign policy views.
A Republican close to the White House told the Daily Caller: “It is very concerning that Emily Schrader, an Israeli journalist at an Israeli outlet funded by Israeli citizens, is interfering in the American political system, lecturing us, and acting like a conservative Republican. Meanwhile, this same person has bashed President Trump, Vice President Vance, and praised Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.”
In August 2026, Schrader attacked Vance over hosting an RNC fundraiser, characterizing attendees as “foreigners with alarming ties to Qatar” and asserting that “suspicious and anti-American interests” were pouring money into Vance’s political operation.
Schrader describes herself on her personal website as an “American-Israeli journalist, author, and human rights activist” focused on Israeli and Iranian affairs. She is open about where her primary loyalties lie. The question Trump allies are asking is why someone with those loyalties is posturing as a conservative voice in American domestic politics while attacking the Vice President of the United States.
Despite brushing aside allegations of a foreign-sourced effort to target Vance, Schrader operates from platforms with documented ties to Israeli government-aligned funding and, until recently, an owner who was a close personal ally of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The pattern here is not subtle. Someone who praised Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, called Trump a “psycho,” and declared his Iran diplomacy worse than Obama’s JCPOA is now presenting herself as a concerned conservative voice raising legitimate national security objections to Vance. That framing does not hold up.
The neoconservative and interventionist foreign policy establishment — the same crowd that cheered on the Iraq War, the Libya intervention, and decades of failed nation-building — has an obvious institutional interest in keeping the US entangled in the Middle East. Vance’s America First restraint threatens that entire project. The attacks on him are not about principled disagreement. They are about preserving a foreign policy consensus that has cost American taxpayers trillions and delivered nothing but body bags and regional instability.
Trump’s diplomatic efforts to end the conflict with Iran represent exactly what voters sent him to Washington to do — choose diplomacy over the neocon playbook, put American interests first, and refuse to be dragged into another endless war. Critics who want to derail that effort, whether operating from Tel Aviv or Washington, DC, deserve scrutiny about their motives and their funding sources.
Vance is doing his job. The people attacking him for it should have to answer for who is paying for the campaign.
