President Trump and his supporters were stunned by the Supreme Court’s decision in the birthright citizenship case.
The talk on the right immediately turned to how to respond.
And Megyn Kelly spoke one awful truth about the Supreme Court that hit like a freight train.
The Supreme Court Guts the Meaning of American Citizenship
RINO justices Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts handed the left the decisive votes in a case to cement birthright citizenship for babies born to illegal aliens into the Constitution.
Conservatives like Utah Senator Mike Lee believed this ruling left only one option.
“We’re going to need a constitutional amendment,” Lee posted on X.
Megyn Kelly shattered any illusions a constitutional amendment was anywhere near the realm of possibility by pointing out it took two-thirds of the states and Congress to ratify any new amendments, and there was no chance Democrat states or members of Congress would vote to take away citizenship from the illegal aliens they hoped to turn into voters.
“It takes 38 states. We’ll never get that. We needed this Supreme Court to have courage,” Kelly wrote on X.
Conservative Pundits Slam the Ruling
Conservative media personalities slammed the Supreme Court for eradicating the idea of American sovereignty and diluting the meaning of American citizenship.
“So we’ve got open voting season, mail-in ballots, no voter ID, no proof of citizenship, ballot harvesting, drop boxes AND birthright citizenship. Well played, Democrats. The invasion worked. Meanwhile, so-called republicans won’t pass the Save America Act and have backed off mass deportations because it looks “mean,” Outkick and Fox News host Tomi Lahren wrote on X.
Kelly added that the “The 14th Amd was never intended to allow any non-citizen to confer citizenship on her child (& thereby skip the line) by delivering the baby here. This Court majority – esp the squish conservatives – all too afraid of being called “racist” to find accordingly.”
“Well, that’s the worst case scenario on birthplace citizenship case. Apocalyptically and indefensibly bad. Very, very difficult to see where to go from here,” The Federalists Mollie Hemingway lamented,
“A majority of the Supreme Court decided that to be legally American is so debased, it can be obtained as the proceeds of criminal conspiracy, and the founders who risked hanging to forge this nation wanted us all one day to think citizenship is just a game, a joke< Buck Sexton, co-host of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, declared.
“The actual “birthright” belongs to my children, and the children of all real Americans. They have a birthright to live in a country that resembles the one our ancestors established. And now that birthright, the only true birthright, has been destroyed in favor of the imagined “birthright” of children born to parents who don’t even belong in this country and who have no ancestral or cultural ties to it whatsoever. Total madness. Suicide. Words cannot describe how evil this is,” the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh wrote on social media.
