Megyn Kelly hosts a popular podcast.
But her show is under threat.
And Megyn Kelly called out this woke plot to cancel her that no one could believe.
Ben Shapiro declared himself Never Trump in 2016.
Shapiro quit Breitbart because the site, under the editor Steve Bannon, supported Trump.
In 2024, Shapiro also opposed Trump.
Now Shapiro is positioning himself as the gatekeeper of the MAGA movement because he has supported a war with Iran because of his pro-Israel views.
One of Shapiro’s main targets to expel from the conservative movement is Megyn Kelly because Kelly opposes the war in Iran and opposes Shapiro’s attempts to cancel and censor anyone who disagrees with him on the war by smearing them as “anti-Semitic.”
Kelly recently interviewed Piers Morgan, another target of Shapiro’s woke cancel culture, where the two marveled about how Shapiro built his brand on being a champion of free speech, but now appointed himself the chief of the speech police.
But Kelly noted that Shapiro’s attempt to inject woke cancel culture into the right failed as his show and social media platforms were bleeding out audience.
“On the subject of Ben Shapiro, who I know attacked you for absolutely no reason and just doubled down, he’s lost 150,000 subscribers over the past year. 150,000 at least, there’s a real reason to believe that he may be paying for subscribers and views,” Kelly stated.
Kelly said that Shapiro’s increasingly shrill demands that Kelly, and even Shapiro’s own co-workers, denounce everyone Shapiro believes committed speech crimes are wearing thin.
“Many who study the industry believe that. But I want to show you one thing quickly. He’s not only trying to force you into saying what he wants you to say around Israel and this war, etcetera, and me too, he tried it with Michael Knowles, his own colleague… like a BLM’er, or he tried to make him say what he wanted him to say. Here’s the example… “Say it.” [Like] BLM, “Say it.” That’s what Ben Shapiro has become,” Kelly added.
Morgan agreed and ripped Shapiro for adopting a newfound attitude that he’s for free speech as long as he agrees with you.
“He’s all for free speech, just as long as it’s exactly how he tells you [how] you need to speak. And I’m not having it, you’re not having it. That’s why our numbers are going through the roof as more and more people tune in. It’s why he’s losing his audience,” Morgan replied.
Kelly said that Shapiro is trying to destroy her show because he disagrees with her politically by claiming that Kelly is a traitor to Trump because she opposed the war in Iran.
But Kelly declared this cancel scheme would fail because she’s built a relationship with her viewers who understand she can disagree with Trump on an issue here and there and still support him, as opposed to Shapiro, who once declared he would never vote for Donald Trump.
“My God, it’s worth it for living free. I live free. No one controls me. There’s no agenda pushing me to see one thing or another, anything other than my own opinion. I don’t take any foreign money. I don’t take any money from the government. I don’t owe any favors to anybody in the Trump administration. Nothing. That’s why I can give you my unvarnished view. You can take it. You can leave it. I think I have a close enough relationship with my audience that we can get through a disagreement because we have before, but you will not find that when you tune in to CNN or Fox,” Kelly concluded.
