Chuck Schumer and the Democrats believe the path has been opened up to winning back control of the United States Senate.
But Schumer wasn’t counting on one thing.
And Megyn Kelly made one bold 2026 prediction that hit Chuck Schumer like a freight train.
Democrats Eye Flipping Texas Senate Seat
Democrats need to win four Republican-held seats to seize back the majority in the Senate.
A Chuck Schumer-led Senate means Democrats can block all Trump nominees, including keeping Supreme Court seats open in the hopes that the party can win the White House in 2028 and install leftist justices to replace Clarence Thomas or Samuel Alito.
But to win back the majority, Democrats will need to flip some ruby-red states.
One seat Democrats eyed is Texas, where the left and its media allies want to paint James Talarico as a moderate pastor who can speak the language of Christianity while still supporting the left’s agenda.
Megyn Kelly nuked that idea on a recent episode of her podcast, where she guaranteed that Talarico was out of step with Texas voters and would lose the race to Texas State Attorney General Ken Paxton.
“I’m saying it on the record – it’s not going to happen. I think Paxton is going to win and win easily… I disagree, Cook Political Report. You may know political races, but I know Texas. I know that state, and I know the voters down there. There’s no fucking way they’re going to vote for this guy…” Kelly declared.
Kelly warned that Talarico was a threat to children because of his support for allowing doctors to mutilate them with transgender surgeries.
“I would NEVER in a million years vote for this lunatic….You cannot vote for that man. You cannot do it. You are actually physically endangering the children of Texas…” Kelly added.
James Talarico’s Pro-Transgender Record
On an episode of a podcast, a host asked Talarico to name something he loved outside of his family.
Instead of naming baseball, BBQ, or the Dallas Cowboys, Talarico exclaimed that he loves “Trans children.”
Talarcio also believes Men can get pregnant.
“Our trans community needs abortion care too,” Talarico said in a Church.
Talarico also believes the Bible supports abortion and that God is nonbinary.
None of these positions fit in red-state Texas.
Talarico knew he was way out over his skis with his leftist rhetoric and in an interview with CBS, tried to claim Republicans took his comments out of context and that Apostle Paul really did say that God was nonbinary.
“Well, you know, I think I was being intentionally provocative with that statement. But what it means is that God can’t be defined by human categories,” Talarico stated. “The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, says that in Christ there is neither male nor female. I’m always going to stand up for Texans who are being picked on by the most powerful, most corrupt politicians in the country … There are some statements that I’ve made that I certainly regret. There are statements that I’ve made where I’ve missed the mark.”
If Democrats lose Texas, their path to a Senate majority narrows.
Megyn Kelly is on record saying someone who insults Christianity like Talarico stands no chance of winning in Texas.
