Kamala Harris got blown out in 2024, but she plotted a comeback.
Now she’s back.
Kamala Harris unleashed one bad Idea that will scare the hell out of every American.
Harris Calls for a “No Bad Idea Brainstorm” — Then Lists Only Bad Ideas
During a Wednesday night livestream on the “Win with Black Women” podcast, Harris pushed for the Democrat Party to get an “expanded playbook” of ideas ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
“I think that we need an expanded playbook in a way that we invite all ideas, that we say… look, this is a moment where there are no bad ideas, a no bad idea brainstorm is what I’d like to call it,” Harris said. “And in that no bad ideas brainstorm, we talk about what we need to do and think about doing around the Electoral College. We talk about the idea of Supreme Court reform, which includes expanding the Supreme Court. We invite a conversation about multi-member districts.”
She wasn’t done.
Harris suggested that, if and when Democrats regain the Senate, the Senate Judiciary Committee should put into place rules to “penalize people for lying” for Supreme Court justices and nominees. “That we agree that it is right to have ethics rules for Supreme Court justices. And let’s put those in place. Let’s talk about statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C. These are the things I think that we’ve got to do,” Harris continued.
She also declared, “We’ve got to neutralize red states from cheating, including blue states expanding their maps.” Then came: “We got to fight fire with fire. They’re playing to win.”
That’s the list. Pack the Supreme Court. Gut the Electoral College. Hand Senate seats to Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. And call anyone who wins a fair election a cheater.
What This Is Really About
Let’s be plain about what Harris is actually proposing here, because the fake news media coverage won’t be.
Packing the Supreme Court with additional justices would turn it into a rubber stamp for whatever a future Democrat president wants to do. The whole point of lifetime appointments and a fixed court size is that no single party can just redesign the institution because they lost a few elections. Harris wants to blow that up.
During the 2020 Democrat primary, Harris would not rule out packing the Supreme Court if elected president, telling Politico that America is “on the verge of a crisis of confidence in the Supreme Court,” and that “We have to take this challenge head on, and everything is on the table to do that.” She separately said she’s “open” to adding as many as four new justices when asked about the idea during a 2019 campaign event. So this isn’t some new, desperate post-loss idea — she’s been pushing it for years.
Statehood for Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico is a naked bid to manufacture four new Democrat Senate seats out of thin air. Every political analyst on the planet knows it. Democrats know it. They just hope you won’t notice the fine print. Dressing it up as a matter of “representation” doesn’t change what it does: it permanently tilts the electoral map in one direction and locks Republicans out of Senate majorities for a generation.
Eliminating the Electoral College would mean presidential elections get decided entirely by a handful of massive urban centers. California, New York, and Illinois would effectively pick every future president. The 30-plus states that voted for Donald Trump in 2024 would become afterthoughts. That’s not reform. That’s a controlled demolition of the system that makes every state matter.
The Reaction Online Was Swift
Substack writer Stephen Miller put it bluntly: “They have zero policy ideas. It’s all just online staffer brain rot.”
Radio host Erick Erickson wrote, “If a Republican were to say these things, the press would excoriate them. But when a Democrat does it, the press treats it as legitimate because the press is on the same side. Anything that goes against Democrat desires is cheating and must be stopped.”
New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino condemned Harris’ comments, accusing her of employing the “language of civil war.” “Democrats have declared the entire electoral process illegitimate because they sometimes lose elections,” she posted on X. “They are prepared to torch the entire country in order to ‘neutralize red states,'” she added.
Utah Senator Mike Lee kept it short: “Well, maybe a few bad ideas,” he joked.
Outkick writer Ian Miller landed the sharpest shot of all: “The funniest part about this is that she lost the popular vote too.”
And he’s right. Harris is out here calling for the Electoral College to be scrapped because it cost her the election — except she also lost the popular vote. So even by the rules she wants to replace the current system with, she still loses. The whole argument collapses on contact with the math.
She’s Been Doing This a While
The comments came in response to the Supreme Court’s recent Louisiana v. Callais decision, in which the high court found that Louisiana’s creation of a second majority-black district to be an “unconstitutional racial gerrymander.” The ruling also neutralized states’ ability to use race in redistricting.
Harris claimed that, by upholding a colorblind Constitution, the court’s majority is “backdooring racism behind politics to get to this decision and to justify then what is happening in particular right now in all the southern states.” That’s a serious charge against justices who were simply applying the Constitution as written. But calling the Supreme Court racist is apparently the new baseline for Democrat rhetoric when they don’t like a ruling.
And this is the part worth sitting with for a moment: Harris is positioning herself as the 2028 Democrat frontrunner. Rich Lowry, an editor at the conservative *National Review*, shared the clip and noted, “Maybe Harris misunderstands the political moment the way she did when she adopted the Bernie Sanders agenda during her failed 2020 presidential campaign.” But Lowry also acknowledged she’s probably reading the Democrat base correctly — meaning these aren’t fringe ideas. They may well be the mainstream Democrat platform by 2028.
That’s the real story here. It’s not just one podcast appearance. It’s a signal of where the whole party is headed.
What Happens If They Actually Win
Republicans should take this seriously, even if it sounds absurd right now. Democrats said a lot of things that sounded absurd before they actually did them. They told you they wouldn’t pack the lower courts — then Harry Reid blew up the filibuster to do exactly that. They told you COVID lockdowns would last two weeks.
Every item on Harris’ list serves the same purpose: replace the rules that produced outcomes Democrats didn’t like with new rules designed to make those outcomes impossible. Pack the courts so rulings go their way. Kill the Electoral College so rural and suburban voters stop mattering. Add states so the Senate math permanently favors the Left. It’s not a policy agenda. It’s a structural takeover dressed up in the language of reform.
American voters handed Donald Trump a landslide in 2024 precisely because they rejected this kind of power-hungry overreach. And the Democrat Party’s answer to that rejection is to float proposals that would make it structurally impossible for Republicans to win again.
Worth remembering the next time someone tells you elections have no consequences.
