CNN has one mode for the coverage of President Trump.
That’s all-out war.
And John Kennedy shut down CNN with one simple word.
CNN Still Relitigating the 2020 Election
CNN and the Democrat Party are still playing word games over the 2020 election, which Trump said was rigged and presented evidence of foreign meddling in a primetime Oval Office address.
Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner tried to cause trouble during the confirmation hearing for Trump’s nominee to serve as Director of National Intelligence, Jay Clayton, by asking if Clayton thought Joe Biden won the election.
“Uh, Senator, I’m not an election denier,” Clayton answered. “Joe Biden was certified as the president of the United States.”
CNN’s Kasie Hunt tried to play ‘gotcha’ with Louisiana Senator John Kennedy over the exchange with word games about how Clayton wouldn’t say Joe Biden won the election and instead simply said he was “certified as President.
“He did not want to straight say that President Biden won the 2020 election,” Hunt asked, “Why not?”
Kennedy called out Hunt to her face for the “game” she was playing by trying to smear Republicans as conspiracy theorists and “election deniers” for not accepting the fake news media’s narrative about the 2020 election.
“Well, I don’t know,” Kennedy stated. “But there’s this little game, if you followed all the committees, it happens every time we have a nominee in Judiciary, where the Democrats… want the nominee to use the magic words that Trump lost the election. And the nominees, understandably, in my opinion, don’t want to play that game. I haven’t.”
What the Media is Up To
Hunt then went on to play dumb.
“But how is it a game?” Hunt replied. “I mean, it’s just what happened.”
“No, it is a game. Kasie,” Kennedy shot back. “So, it’s a game of words by my Democratic colleagues.”
Hunt then claimed Trump was the one who broke democratic norms by never calling Joe Biden to concede the 2020 election.
“Sure, but again, I mean, we live in a democracy where, in the past, everyone called the winner to concede and say, ‘Congratulations on your win. It was a tough loss for me.’ What does it say about where we are that you think that this is a game of words? I mean, when did this get so hard?” Hunt wondered.
Kennedy pointed out that Democrats were the ones calling Trump illegitimate since the moment he won the 2016 election and conspiring with the Deep State on nonstop coup attempts to derail Trump’s Presidency.
“Well, look, I’m biased, but I think the Democrats have made it hard,” Kennedy shot back. “I don’t think there’s any doubt about the fact that Joe Biden was the president. And I haven’t heard a single nominee by President Trump say Donald Trump won the election and Joe Biden didn’t.”
