Popular podcaster Joe Rogan couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Rogan felt he had no choice but to speak out.
And then Joe Rogan said two words about the military draft that every American parent needs to hear.
In a recent episode of his show, Rogan expressed disbelief that there was talk in Washington of bringing back the draft,
“I would fail on that too, so they couldn’t draft me,” Rogan said of military fitness standards in response to talk of the draft coming back.
Rogan cited Palantir, the tech company that builds AI targeting and surveillance systems for the Pentagon’s support for bringing back the draft, as a major cause for concern.
“These mother******* are talking about drafting people…Palantir thinks that we should reintroduce conscription, conscription, that kids should start getting drafted again into military, and they should have mandatory military experience for kids.”
In a post on social media, Palantir wrote that America should consider conscripting citizens into the military the next time war breaks out.
“National service should be a universal duty. We should, as a society, seriously consider moving away from an all-volunteer force and only fight the next war if everyone shares in the risk and the cost,” Palantir’s post read.
Rogan went on to say that he couldn’t believe talk about bringing back the draft was popping up now at a time when polls show Americans oppose the war in Iran.
“That sounds crazy,” Rogan added. “Especially after this Iran war, where everybody’s like, why the **** are we in Iran? And if you signed up for that, that sounds nuts.”
Rogan also spoke out against the growing influence of AI companies.
AI firms like Anthropic are openly bragging about putting tens of millions of Americans out of work.
Now Palantir wants to conscript young men into mandatory military service.
“Why the **** would a tech company be saying that we need to move towards a universal national military service?” he said. “How about **** you? How about **** you, you go? Because you know, none of these tech dorks that are running these companies—they’re not doing it. Like, what are you talking about? Throwing meat into the machine, right? Throwing people’s children into these unnecessary wars.**** you,” Rogan concluded.
There are politicians who agree with AI companies like Palantir and support the reinstatement of the draft.
Ed Gallerin, the establishment Republican who defeated Thomas Massie in the Kentucky 4th Congressional District primary, came out in favor of reinstating the draft to restore American culture.
“In 1973 we moved away from conscription selective service and went to the all volunteer force, right, and so that’s been the most challenging few years since that, since that transition, and that is a, that is a significant issue for national security, and now back to the question about, well, you know, selective service, and you know the attitudes about it. I would offer there is a cultural issue, and it does appear we have a corrosion of our culture, a commitment what our nation stands for,” Gallerin stated.
AI companies like Palantir, pushing to bring back the draft and force other massive societal and economic changes on the country, will be one of the dominant stories in the second half of this decade.
