The Democrat Party’s hopes of winning the majority in the US Senate hinge on the race in Michigan.
Party leaders knew it was a risk to nominate Abdul El-Sayed as their candidate.
And Jesse Watters buried Abdul El-Sayed with one devastating word.
El-Sayed’s Defends Fringe Positions
Democrats could only shake their heads when El-Sayed appeared on Jesse Watters’ Fox News show and doubled down on politically unpopular positions that cost Democrats elections in the past.
Watters pressed El-Sayed on his support for mutilating children’s bodies with transgender surgeries.
El-Sayed created a viral moment by comparing chopping off kids’ genitals to circumcision and declared he didn’t want to get in the middle of the doctor-patient relationship.
“I think it’s a problem. It’s a problem that you think that you get to decide what happens between a parent, a doctor, and a patient. And I’m just saying that yes, circumcision is surgery on a kid’s ding-a-ling. So if you really want to bring that up, you can. I just think you guys are really selective about the way you talk about these things,” El-Sayed stated.
El-Sayed also attacked America as a racist country that owed a debt of reparations to black Americans due to slavery.
“I think we need to have an honest conversation about the incredible debt that was put upon Black folks as a function of slavery that we have yet to pay, and I just think that’s fair. Like if people are enslaved and forced into servitude, and then we don’t actually have a conversation about all that was owed that our own country agreed was owed. I just think that it’s past time to have that conversation. That shouldn’t be a crazy thing,” El-Sayed declared.
Watters Says El-Sayed’s Views are ‘Wacky’
Watters gave credit to El-Sayed for sitting for a hostile interview, but said he held policy views that were “wacky” and wouldn’t fly in a state like Michigan.
“I respect that you came on,” Watters stated. “I don’t think you really looked into some of the policies you’re pushing. You seem a little naive, Abdul. I give you credit for facing that music. But some of this stuff’s just straight up wacky. You know? I don’t know if that’s gonna fly in Michigan, but we’re gonna find out.”
El-Sayed attempted to get the last word by turning Watters’ “wacky” barb around.
“At the end of the day, you know what’s wacky?” El-Sayed shot back. “You know [what] you didn’t ask me about? We got a president of the United States that cares more about the drapes in a ballroom that shouldn’t be built than he cares about the [Iran] war he just got us into or than he cares about the affordability crisis. That seems to be a little wacky. So, if we wanna have a serious conversation about what Michiganders are feeling, I’d love to come back on and talk about getting money out of politics, put money in your pocket, passing Medicare for All.”
But the reviews poured in after the interview for El-Sayed, and they weren’t favorable at all.
“Abdul El-Sayed just compared circumcision to chopping a kid’s entire penis off. Circumcision and castration are not the same, Abdul! Play this on repeat through November,” Washington Free Beacon Journalist Chuck Ross wrote on X.
“If you are a circumcised man in America, Abdul El-Sayed thinks you are trans,” Fox News columnist David Marcus quipped.
