George Clooney helped force Joe Biden out of the 2024 Presidential race by penning a New York Times op-ed revealing that he could tell Biden was senile when Biden attended a fundraiser in Los Angeles weeks before his debate meltdown.
Clooney is one of Barack Obama’s closest confidantes, and many assumed Obama used Clooney as a proxy to shove Biden out of the race without Obama getting his hands dirty.
Now that Clooney is attacking Donald Trump months before the 2026 midterm election, many are wondering if Obama deployed Clooney once again, this time, to distract from the growing epidemic of left-wing political violence.
In a speech at Film at Lincoln Center’s 51st annual Chaplin award, Clooney ranted that Trump was the cause of division in America and equated law enforcement fatally shooting violent leftist insurgents in Minneapolis who attempted to thwart ICE operations to the latest Trump-demonized would-be assassin.
“I can’t be here on a night like tonight and just ignore everything that’s going on in the world,” Clooney began.
“I disagree with everything that this administration stands for, but there’s no place for the kind of violence we saw two nights ago in Washington, D.C. Nor is there a room for this kind of violence in Minnesota with Alex Pretti or Renée Good,” Clooney added.
Clooney then stole Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” slogan to drive his point home that it’s really Trump, and not the left, inciting acts of political violence.
“And it is a struggle for the very soul of this republic. Because to foment hate and violence is to inherit the win,” he said. “And then the question is, simply, are we as citizens of this great country what are we to do? And it is in that answer that all of us left, right, and center can build a more perfect union, heal our wounds, and begin to truly make America great again,” Clooney added.
Clooney was bothsidsing the issue even before he took the stage.
On the red carpet, Clooney defended Jimmy Kimmel’s joke about Melania Trump looking like an “expectant widow” to Karoline Leavitt, claiming Americans would see “shots fired” when President Trump delivered his comedy routine at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
“Jimmy’s a comedian, and I would argue that Karoline Leavitt didn’t mean shots should be fired, right? She was making a joke. Fair enough,” Clooney declared.
Clooney is amplifying the message that political violence in the province is affecting both political parties because the evidence shows the bullets only flying in one direction.
