President Trump has a complicated relationship with Fox News.
There will be a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth after this.
And now Fox News’s owners just double-crossed Trump in the worst way possible.
The Murdoch Media Empire Turns Against Trump
Media outlets’ editorial positions reflect the views of their owners.
That’s also true with Fox News.
Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch initially opposed Trump in 2016 and turned Fox into the Jeb Bush channel.
Bush’s support for amnesty and endless foreign wars aligned with the Australian-born Murdoch’s globalist outlook.
Murdoch seized on the disappointing 2022 midterm election to try and push Trump out of the GOP.
Fox News banned Trump from the air for over six months and relentlessly promoted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the party’s future.
Now Murdoch is weaponizing his media empire, which includes the New York Post, to push for a post-Trump GOP that includes an amnesty bill.
The Post’s Pro-Amnesty Editorial
The Post published a shocking editorial that called on Trump to sign RINO Congresswoman Maria Salazar’s so-called “Dignity” Act, which would grant amnesty to more than 10,000,000 illegal aliens that snuck into America before 2021.
“The prez could make a big difference by embracing [Rep. Maria Salazar’s] Dignity Act as the basis for immigration reform he’d like to see passed in the next two years,” the Post editorial read.
The Post praised the bill for containing the same sham border security promises that every so-called “immigration reform” bill includes, when the reality is the only concrete provision of the bill is amnesty.
“Introduced by [Rep. Maria] Salazar [R-FL], Veronica Escobar (R-Texas) and New York’s own Rep. Mike Lawler, this sensible package locks in border security, eases the expulsion of criminal illegal immigrants, creates [a] … “come in from the dark” approach and restores sanity to visa and asylum systems — all without the mass amnesty that the left demands,” the editorial continued.
Not the First Time the Murdoch Media Empire Pushed a Liberal Agenda
Murdoch doesn’t just support amnesty; he also backs banning and confiscating firearms.
When the Supreme Court handed down its ruling in the 2022 New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen, which held that state level gun grabs were unconstitutional if they failed to fall within America’s history and tradition of protecting Second Amendment rights, Murdoch’s Post whined that the ruling made it harder for anti-gun politicians to disarm law-abiding citizens.
The Post’s editorial complained that the ruling struck down licensing and permitting schemes since it “suggests such rules must not be too strict or they might become subject to legal challenges as well.”
And the editorial also praised gun grabbing justice Stephen Breyer’s dissent.
“More notable, as Justice Stephen Breyer pointed out in his dissent, states can have compelling interests in imposing gun-carry regulations. New York certainly has such interests, given its density, culture and the soaring crime it’s facing: Guns are killing people,” the editorial added.
Murdoch has always been anti-Trump.
The Post is pushing amnesty because that is a key Murdoch priority, and his media empire is looking to shape the Republican Party as it regroups from whatever happens in 2026 and looks to 2028 and a new standard bearer.
