President Trump fired Pam Bondi as Attorney General.
Bondi faced criticism from every direction for her performance in the role.
And Pam Bondi felt like she got hit by a truck after this Fox News bombshell.
President Trump announced on Truth Social that he was firing Pam Bondi as Attorney General and that she would be taking a job in the private sector where she could help advance the administration’s agenda.

Speculation immediately began about why Trump sacked Bondi.
Fox Business Network host Dagen McDowell told viewers that Bondi botching the Epstein files led to her downfall.
“She, from the get-go, royally fouled up the release of the Jeffrey Epstein documents,” McDowell stated. “And it was just such a rolling disaster all year, and was handled so poorly, that that was one of the biggest problems despite her obvious loyalty [to President Donald Trump] and her background.”
Bondi bothced the Epstein files by telling Fox News in February 2025 that the Epstein client list was “sitting on her desk.”
Bondi then invited a group of influencers to the White House, where she handed them binders of Epstein files to parade in front of the cameras, which turned out to be nothing more than previously released documents.
Last summer, Bondi created even more controversy when the Justice Department released a memo baselessly claiming that Epstein killed himself, that Epstein didn’t traffic underage girls to anyone else, and that there would be no more criminal charges brought in the matter.
McDowell’s colleague Brian Brenberg argued Bondi’s big mistake was overpromising and underdelivering.
“My sense watching that throughout was that there were these big promises… of information,” Brenberg told viewers. “And then it always seemed like it was a thud, a dud. Nothing happened. And people were like, ‘wait a second, we thought we were going to get transparency. It feels like we’re just getting obfuscation.’”
Bondi also irked Trump and his supporters by failing to indict Democrats and Deep State operatives who organized the Russia collusion hoax and were involved in the 2020 election fraud.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will fill the Attorney General position on an acting basis until President Trump decides on who to nominate to replace Bondi.
