California Governor Gavin Newsom is one of the frontrunners for the 2028 Democratic Party Presidential nomination.
That means his every move attracts scrutiny.
And now a Fox News star made one startling confession about Gavin Newsom.
Polls show that Newsom’s Achilles heel could be his weakness with black voters.

Historically, whichever candidate wins black voters wins the Democratic Party nomination.
Newsom running far behind Kamala Harris with black voters could prove fatal in 2028.
That’s why Newsom tried to burnish his standing with black voters at an event in Atlanta with the city’s Mayor Andrew Dickson.
But Newsom stepped on a rake that other white Democrats have when trying to appeal to black voters.
Newsom claimed black voters could relate to him because he struggled with reading and only scored a 960 on his SAT.
“I’m not trying to impress you. I’m just trying to press upon you that I’m like you. I’m no better than you. I’m a 960 SAT guy. And I’m not trying to offend anybody, I’m not trying to act all there if you got a 940. But literally, a 960 SAT guy. You’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech,” Neswsom exclaimed.
Dickson is black, and Atlanta’s connection to Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement made Newsom’s intentions clear.
Newsom wanted to show black voters he was relatable.
But the way Newsom did it was by essentially telling black Americans that he thought they were dumb and couldn’t read.
White Democrats have fallen into this trap before.
In 2020, Joe Biden claimed that any black Americans who didn’t support him weren’t authentically black.
Appearing on Fox News Special Report, senior political analyst Brit Hume told host Bret Baier that if any Republican spoke about black Americans like Newsom did, the liberal media would rake them over the coals.
“If I were a Republican who said that, it would be denounced as racist, and I bet everything else awful you could say about it because in the media Republicans don’t get a pass on something like that,” Hume stated.
Polls show a record low number of Americans trust the press.
Rank partisanship, like what Hume described, is so obvious that Americans can’t ignore it.
