Liberal comedian Bill Maher forced Democrats to confront an uncomfortable fact.
And Bill Maher just revealed one brutal truth about CNN that the left will hate to hear.
CNN likes to claim it is a “facts first” news network.
In reality, it operates like an anti-Trump Super PAC that presents Democrat talking points and anti-Trump conspiracy theories as news.
Even liberals like Bill Maher are sick of the bait-and-switch CNN pulls, as on a recent episode of his show, Maher called out CNN for running opinion shows as news.
“I am a fan of CNN, but I agree. It’s too much opinion,” Maher stated. ”I would rather just — when CNN was first out there, you could just always count on to turn it on and you would just get the story.”
“Get the news, that’s what I want,” Maher continued.
Abby Phillips Table for Five show is everything wrong with CNN as it Phillips and three other liberal guests spend an hour berating the token conservative,
The show specializes in misinforming viewers.
One example was Democrats strategist Bakari Sellers rant about how America is as racist as ever following a Supreme Court decision that ruled states couldn’t make race the primary motivation in drawing Congressional districts.
“If someone fell asleep in 1896 and woke up today, they would say the only difference is now Black Americans have TV shows and wear nice suits,” Sellers raged.
“They’ve swapped out Klan Hoods for Brooks Brothers suits,” Sellers fumed.
Sellers’ argument boiled down to America is racist because the Supreme Court said states should take race out of redistricting.
What Sellers was really upset about was the fact that these illegal racial gerrymanders handed the Democrats as many as 20 unlawful Congressional seats in red states, and this ruling throws into doubt the Democrats’ chances of winning the House this November.
Republican commentator Scott Jennings then dismantled Sellers’ lie that this decision removed the ability of black Americans to cast a ballot.
“I heard you say that people are losing representation. People are losing their voice. No voter has lost their voice at all. No one’s been disenfranchised. Every voter in America, before these court rulings, could go cast a ballot this November, and every voter in America, white, Black, or otherwise, can go cast a ballot right now,” Jennings stated.
“The lines may be changing, but every voter still has the same amount of voting power, one vote, that they had. It’s just that this Supreme Court said your race doesn’t necessarily have to dictate your political identity. The fact that you’re an American citizen and you’re franchised gives you one vote. That is your political identity, and it is incumbent upon both parties, Republicans and Democrats, to run people who speak not to just one constituency, but all American interests. To me, that’s, that’s how the November election should be run,” Jennings went on to say.
