The NFL rolled the dice and went woke by picking anti-American rapper Bad Bunny to headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show.
Everyone was waiting to see the ratings to see if the gamble paid off.
And now Bad Bunny set this shocking Super Bowl record that no one saw coming.
The NFL learned that not even America’s number one sport and cultural experience is immune to offending the audience.
When Commissioner Roger Goodell announced Bad Bunny as the halftime act, the backlash was swift.
Bad Bunny doesn’t have any English songs.
Bad Bunny hates President Trump.
And Band Bunny announced he wouldn’t tour in the U.S. out of fear ICE would stage raids at his concerts.
Turning Point USA announced an alternative All-American Halftime Show led by Kid Rock, where patriotic music starts, would stage a traditional concert that celebrates American values.
And as feared, Bad Bunny put on a woke stage show complete with migrant farm labor and equating the United States to third-world countries.
The numbers showed the NFL found a way to run off the audience at the Super Bowl.
Turning Point USA’s show drew 6 million concurrent views on YouTube and Rumble.
The views just count the number of screens streaming the show.
The number of viewers likely approached tens of millions as Americans watch the Super Bowl in groups.
By comparison, Bad Bunny set a Super Bowl record for the largest drop in audience for the halftime show.
“Based on my understanding of the data, Bad Bunny lost more % of the Super Bowl viewership from the end of the second quarter than has ever happened before.
The NFL has an interesting dilemma in trying to court new fans vs alienating the base,” Front Office Sports’ Ryan Glasspiegel wrote on X.
Glasspiegel wrote that you could see Bad Bunny driving away viewers by looking at the quarter-hour numbers, writing:
- 7:45–7:59 p.m. ET: 137.9 million (134.3M on NBC, 3.6M on Telemundo)
- 8–8:14 p.m. ET: 135.9 million (132.1M on NBC, 3.8M on Telemundo)
- 8:15–8:29 p.m. ET: 128.2 million (123.4M on NBC, 4.8M on Telemundo)
Bad Bunny’s performance occurred during the latter window. This was a decline of 7% from the game’s peak viewership of 137.9 million in the second quarter, and 5.7% from the immediately preceding quarter-hour. Bad Bunny’s performance was entirely in Spanish; as the numbers show, the viewership on Telemundo went up during his performance. (The international numbers for the game and halftime show are not out yet.)
As soon as Bad Bunny completed his anti-American performance, President Trump declared it a “‘slap in the face’ to our country,” adding that there is “nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show.”
Bad Bunny sang all his songs in Spanish, and the crowd at Levi Stadium didn’t seem to know who Bad Bunny was or care about his music.
I’ve never seen a Super Bowl crowd so dead for the Halftime Show…

President Trump ripped Bad Bunny for turning the Super Bowl into a celebration of the third world and illegal alien migration.
“It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World,” Trump added.
The audience voted.
And they voted with Trump and against the NFL’s woke culture war on American values.
