Mamdani’s Marxists Winning Primaries Makes Democrats Nervous
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani endorsing three communists who won Congressional primaries in New York sent shockwaves through the Democrat Party and the American political system.
Mamdani is an Islamic Marxist, and his candidates winning definitively showed that Third World Marxists now run the Democrat Party.
Establishment Democrats understand that if they can’t pretend to be reasonable moderates and their candidates are open about their anti-Americanism, the party can’t win elections.
Democrat Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith that Democrats needed to change their leadership and replace Chuck Schumer since she believed the Mamdani movement gained momentum as Democrat voters, Trump Derangement Syndrome-fueled, an increasing anger in the base about the current status quo.
“Every day there’s a debate within the party about the path forward,” Slotkin stated.
“That’s why I believe we need significant new leadership. The old models are no longer working, and that includes the Democratic Party,” she added, Slotkin added.
Chuck Schumer is Now Toxic with Democrats
CNN data analyst Harry Enten broke down the numbers and said Slotkin spoke for the majority of Democrats in calling for her party to dump Schumer.
“They have a Democratic leader in the Senate in Chuck Schumer, but I think Elissa Slotkin is channeling Democratic voters on this one, because it’s no longer the overall electorate that doesn’t like Chuck Schumer – look at this change among Democrats themselves!” Enten stated.
Enten then ran through polling numbers showing Schumer shifted from +40 in favorability among Democrats to -1.
“Look at this, look at this change, this is nuts!” Enten said as the poll numbers showing Schumer’s declining popularity appeared on the big screen. “Now he’s a point underwater with Democrats! Chuck Schumer isn’t unpopular overall, he is that, he’s not just that, he’s actually not popular with Democrats!”
Enten emphasized that Schumer’s unpopularity was with his own party.
“This is among Democrats where Chuck Schumer is struggling,” Enten added.
And then Enten made the statement which caused ears to perk up across Washington.
“I tell you, these numbers scream primary challenge two years from now,” Enten declared.
“This is how toxic the Democratic brand in Washington, D.C. is,” Enten concluded. “And Chuck Schumer in particular.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is considering either running for President or challenging Chuck Schumer in 2028.
Candidates in her mold winning primaries in New York and Schumer’s declining popularity with Democrats show that he is ripe for the picking if he faces a primary challenge from his left by Ocasio-Cortez.
