New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be gearing up to run for President in 2028.

And a Fox News host delivered a reality check to AOC that crushed one dream.
AOC’s Personal Life Takes Center Stage
Every move Ocasio-Cortez makes is now viewed through the lens of how it positions her to run for the White House in 2028.
Breaking up with her fiancé, Riley Roberts, whom she got engaged to in Puerto Rico back in 2022, and announcing she was freezing her eggs were two such decisions.
“Her relationship with Mr. Roberts quietly ended some time ago, and her decision to livestream her egg-freezing journey has forced to the forefront an uncomfortable topic for a lawmaker who is both unusually open and incredibly private: a breakup that she had never broadcast, despite giving her followers a sense that they are often along with her for the ride,” the New York Times reported.
Freezing her eggs was seen as Ocasio-Cortez looking to present as the champion of abortion on demand since members of the pro-abortion base saw it as Ocasio-Cortez taking control of her body and reproductive decisions.
AOC also wants Democrats to know she sees Republicans as the enemy, telling TMZ she would never date a conservative.
“Would you ever date a conservative?” TMZ reporter Charlie Cotton asked her. “Is that anything you would ever entertain?”
“I have to say it’s uh, probably not,” Ocasio-Cortez answered. “No foul to people who do. And of course, how you define that is very different from person to person, right? But I think a lot of politics sometimes, at least for me, is about values, and being aligned in values I think is tremendously important.”
Fox News Mocks AOC’s Answer
The hosts of Fox News Channel’s The Five mocked Ocasio-Cortez’s response.
“AOC’s back on the market,” co-host Jess Watters told viewers before playing the clip. “I don’t know if you’ve heard, but she dumped her fiancé. But she’s got standards for her next prince charming.”
Co-host Julie Banderas said that Ocasio-Cortez didn’t have much to worry about because no conservative would want to date her in the first place, citing her decision to freeze her eggs as making her an unattractive partner.
“Girl, no conservative would want to date you,” Banderas exclaimed. “You are not untapping a mystery here. I mean, first of all, she broke up, she froze her eggs, she’s eventually going to put them in, and maybe some brave soul will stand up and be the father of those poor little children. But like, why would a conservative ever want to marry her?”
“Well, we didn’t say ‘marry,’” Watters quipped. “Just date.”
“Well, I know, but at her age, she’s gonna eventually want to have a husband, I think,” Banderas shot back.
“Only available to liberals,” Watters deadpanned.
