Embattled Maine Democrat Senate nominee Graham Platner’s scandals keep getting worse.
The accusations keep piling up.
And Graham Platner got accused of one sick sex act that will make your skin crawl.
Platner Accused of Removing Condoms During Sex
Platner’s campaign was sent reeling when ex-girlfriend Jenny Racicot alleged that Platner broke into her house and raped her in 2021 when the two were dating.
Platner faces a July 13 deadline to withdraw from the race so Democrats can replace him on the ballot.
And it’s now clear that Racicot’s allegations were simply the top of the iceberg.
Conservative commentator Lyndsey Fifield, who dated Platner in 2023 and 2024 and whose allegations of Platner being a bad boyfriend to the New York Times got the ball rolling that led to Racicot coming forward, went on the record with the Washington Post to allege that Platner would remove condoms when the two were having sex without telling her.
“He would pull condoms off,” Fifield told the Post. “He would do it in a sneaky way. He wouldn’t tell me.”
The Post said removing a condom during sex is known as “stealthing” and is considered sexual assault in some countries.
In the story, the Post said Fifield went on the record to bolster Racicot’s account.
“She said she decided to speak publicly about it Tuesday in part because, she said, she wanted to show that Racicot was not alone in experiencing issues with Platner involving sexual consent.
Removing a condom during sex without consent, known as “stealthing,” is classified as a form of sexual assault in several countries, including Britain, Canada and parts of Australia. In the United States, Maine, California and Washington state have laws that address the nonconsensual removal of condoms during sex. The alleged incidents involving Platner took place in D.C., Fifield said,” the Post reported.
Fifield then described how Platner would allegedly remove his condom during sex.
“I confronted him both during and after [sex] because he knew that I was not on birth control and how dangerous that was,” Fifield stated.
“He would act like cute about it, like ‘Oh sneaky me,’” Fifield said in another interview with the Post.
Platner’s Campaign is Spiraling
Platner’s campaign denied the allegations in a statement calling them “categorically false and politically motivated.”
But Platner is bleeding support.
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Platner’s biggest endorser, posted on X that the allegations against Platner were serious enough that he should step aside so the party can pick a new nominee to take on Republican Susan Collins.
“I have spoken with Graham Platner about the best path forward for Maine,” Sanders wrote on X. “In light of these very serious allegations, I have recommended that he step aside.”
