And Ben Shapiro just made an unthinkable accusation against Trump that proved one thing.
Trump Announces Iran Peace Deal
President Trump promised to keep America out of forever wars and to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump announced a deal with Iran that he said would accomplish both goals while also reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which He contended would bring down gas prices.
“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region. Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me,” Trump’s post went on to read.
Trump argued this deal was good for the global economy and the Middle East.
“The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace. With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!” Trump also wrote.
Neoconservatives and Never Trumpers Freak Out
Never Trumpers like Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin, who opposed Trump in 2016 and 2024, had cast themselves as Trump’s number one supporters in the run up to the war and its outset.
Even though Levin and Shapiro hate Trump, they long supported an Iraq-style invasion of Iran where Americans would deploy hundreds of thousands of boots on the ground in a regime change war.
They swallowed their past opposition to Trump in the hopes that public flattery would sway Trump to their position.
When Trump rejected their outlandish plans for a massive regime change war in Iran in favor of his America First foreign policy, the two melted down.
Levin posted on social media that he hoped Israel sabotaged the deal by refusing to adhere to a ceasefire in Lebanon.
“This Iran deal won’t stand if Hezbollah is protected! Israel will not be able to adhere to a suicide pact!” Levin wrote on X.
“The Israeli people won’t put up with it, the Prime Minister won’t put up with it! We should not accept it, either!” Levin added.
Shapiro attacked Trump as a loser.
“If the United States is going to suddenly become an advocate for the idea that Israel can’t defend itself, then this is a giant ‘L’ for the United States and for our allies!”
That was a far different cry than the tune Shapiro was singing at the wat’s outset.
“President Trump is uniquely testosterone filled president! That is a dude with cojones!” Shapiro exclaimed after Trump launched military operations against Iran.
Shapiro and Levin were always, at heart, Never Trumpers who oppose the America First agenda and seek a return to the George Bush/Liz Cheney/Mitt Romney GOP.
And they bailed on Trump at the first opportunity.
