Fox News host Mark Levin went off the rails.
Levin’s followers were stunned.
And that’s because Mark Levin just hit Trump with the worst insult ever.
Levin Compares Trump Admin to Jimmy Carter
Shortly before President Trump announced he was on the verge of a peace deal with Iran, the Iranian army shot down an Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz.
The American military rescued the two pilots.
But President Trump said a response was necessary.
The American military then said it would carry out “a proportional response to recent attacks on U.S. forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters.”
The phrase proportional response triggered Levin, who has demanded that President Trump support a regime change war in Iran.
Levin was so outraged by the term “proportional response” that he compared Trump to Jimmy Carter, the gravest insult ever that a Republican President could face, while also doubling down on his demand for an Iraq-style war with Iran to destroy the regime.
“Proportionate” response is Jimmy Carter language. The Iranian regime will never give up its nukes, no matter what they say or sign. We must be honest with ourselves. Time will prove me right, and others who understand this. It’s now or likely never,” Levin wrote on X.
Levin then called for a dangerous strike on Iran’s highly enriched uranium, buried underground since Operation Midnight Hammer last June, in an operation that Levin admitted had the goal of nuclear catastrophe.
“If we cannot remove the uranium, then seriously consider contaminating the sites so no one can go anywhere near them for 100 years or more. Remember the 1966 Palomares accident (you can look it up),” Levin added.
Levin is Willing to Sacrifice the Midterms
The Palomares accident took place in 1966 and involved a U.S. Air Force B-52G bomber colliding with a KC-135 tanker in midair.
The bomber carried 4 thermonuclear bombs and conventional ordnance, which detonated upon impact, spreading plutonium, which contaminated two square miles.
Levin then claimed the risk of a ground invasion or nuclear calamity was even worth handing the election to Democrats so they could win control of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
“Yes, we may lose the midterm elections, for a host of reasons that have not changed even before the war with Iran. It would be disastrous in many ways, given the radicalism of the Democrat Party and its intent to destroy our constitution, border, and economic system. But if we are perceived as losing this war, or as failing to finish the job, or declare victory without victory, it will be used against us. Victory just happens to also be good politics. The longer it takes, the more difficult it becomes,” Levin continued.
Levin has faced criticism for his insistence on war with Iran that goes beyond Trump’s stated goals of obtaining a nuclear weapon.
But many were shocked Levin would go so far as to invoke Jimmy Carter, suggest a nuclear disaster, and even say he’s willing to risk the midterm election.
