Jacob Frey Honors George Floyd Before the Troops on Memorial Day
Memorial Day is when Americans honor the sacrifice of those who paid the ultimate price in defending freedom while serving in uniform.
To Democrats, that’s George Floyd.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey posted on Memorial Day that this was the sixth anniversary of Floyd’s death.
“Today, we remember George Floyd, who was murdered by a former Minneapolis police officer six years ago,” Frey wrote. “That moment changed our city forever.”
Frey then spouted off about Floyd’s death, which served as a jumping-off point for the usual lies from the left about police and America being systemically racist.
“It forced Minneapolis to confront painful truths about race, policing, inequity, and trust — and demanded hard conversations and accountability. Since Floyd’s murder, our city has been challenged not just to say we’ve changed, but to prove it,” Frey added.
Democrats seized on Floyd’s death in 2020 to launch a nationwide insurrection with Black Lives Matter goons rioting in the streets, burning down cities, and killing innocent Americans.
The point of the violence was to instill fear in voters and cause them to vote for Joe Biden to get the riots to stop.
Blowback Ensures
The summer of 2020, with the George Floyd riots and the COVID lockdowns, also represented peak woke, where major institutions, like corporate America, Hollywood, academia, and the media sought to impose on the public a leftist ideology where Americans were supposed to feel ashamed at their nation’s past, tear down statues, eliminate the concept of gender, and remake America into a leftist state.
Eventually, the blowback to this color revolution led to Donald Trump’s landslide win in the 2024 election.
Social media users slammed Frey for posting about George Floyd before he ever honored the troops on Memorial Day.
“That’s your message on the day we memorialize those who gave their lives fighting for our freedom? THIS is your post? Disgusting,” radio host Joe Pagliarulo wrote in response to Floyd
“Today is Memorial Day for the brave men & women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, not memorial day for criminal drug addicts who sparked some of the most destructive race riots and racist policy decisions of our lifetime,” sports commentator Jon Root posted.
Democrats Won’t Let Woke Go
It was hours later that Frey got around to posting a Memorial Day tribute to the troops.
“Memorial Day is a time to remember the brave service members who gave their lives for our country and the freedoms we enjoy today. We owe them — and the families who carry their memory forward — our deepest gratitude,” Frey posted.
Democrats were mocked in the aftermath of Floyd’s death for elevating Floyd, a criminal who once jammed a gun into the belly of a pregnant woman, to sainthood status.
Frey’s post shows that the meme really isn’t a joke.
