The Trump Derangement Syndrome in Hollywood is out of control.
Liberals in the entertainment industry can’t contain their hatred of Trump and his voters.
And a star actor thinks you’re racist for voting for Trump. Bill Maher isn’t having it.
Actor Bryan Cranston won acclaim for his portrayal of Walter White in the smash hit TV show Breaking Bad.
But Cranston is also a member of the loony left in Hollywood.
Bill Maher set Cranston straight on an episode of Maher’s podcast, where Cranston falsely claimed that Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan was a dog whistle for white supremacists and that more schools should teach critical race theory.
Maher pushed back, telling Cranston that liberals need to stop measuring how good a person you are based on how lousy you think America is.
And Maher also shredded Cranston’s smear that MAGA was racist, pointing out how in the last election, Trump won a larger share of the minority voter for a Republican in generations.
“I have to tell you, Republicans are doing better and better all the time with people of color,” Maher stated.
Tru,p won 20 percent of black males and 46 percent of the Hispanic vote in 2024, unheard of numbers for a Republican.
Even Cranston had no choice but to tip his cap to Trump.
“I hope so,” Cranston replied.
Maher explained that Trump won large swaths of the minority vote as part of a growing backlash to the left’s religious adherence to wokeism, which Maher argued just taught people to hate each other and themselves.
“Because the woke **** doesn’t actually help any Black people. See, to me, this is the difference between liberalism and wokeism. Liberalism is about lifting people. Woke is just about self-loathing and hating yourself and scolding everybody and virtue signaling. It doesn’t actually help anybody. Lifting people who have gotten a bad shake in this country, who are, for some reason, downtrodden or have been cheated?” Maher began.
Maher argued he was a traditional liberal in the JFK or Harry Truman mode and that he believed the left drove minority voters into Trump’s camp with their constant whining that America was a systemically racist, sexist, homophobic country.
“Absolutely. I’ve always been for that. But I don’t think that’s a lot of what’s going on, and I think there are — I just look at the numbers from the last election, I mean, Trump, would you think that he would get even one Black or Hispanic vote? He got 20% of the male Black vote. And he did better with Hispanics than he did the first time. Comes out. Rapist. And gets respectable numbers in that election, and then four years go by, and he does better. People, especially immigrants, don’t like this unrelenting negativism about this country,” Maher added.
Cranston, again, had no choice but to agree with Maher.
“I would agree with that,” Cranston admitted.
Maher went on to say that minority voters rejected the left running down America as an irredeemable and evil country because they understood that the countries that were truly evil and irredeemable were the foreign nations that many of their families hailed from.
“They’re like, you know what? You should see the ******* river I swam through to get here, and I get here, and all you people do is **** on your own country and tell me how horrible it is. You know what? I came from horrible. You want to know horrible? I’ll tell you ****** stories,” Maher concluded.
