Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson used to be the pillars of Fox News.
But something changed.
Sean Hannity’s heart broke when he faced this question about Tucker Carlson.
Pro-Israel voices on the right, like Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin, Laura Loomer, and Josh Hammer, among others, have spent months attempting to cancel Tucker Carlson over his opposition to war with Iran.
After President Trump made the call to go to war with Iran, many of these same voices sought to try to ban Tucker Carlson from the White House or pressure President Trump to publicly denounce Carlson.
Levin attacked Carlson as an enemy of America.
Just one man’s opinion, but I believe Tucker Carlson is more dangerous than the demagogues of the past. In my view, he’s using modern media to spread narratives that attack Jews, Christians, and President Trump’s foreign policy—while echoing the talking points of hostile regimes.… pic.twitter.com/yoKpcM7Gxs

Loomer called for Carlson’s arrest
Did you know that @AGPamBondi AG Pam Bondi’s February 5, 2025 FARA memo severely limits the DOJ’s ability to prosecute FARA violations like those that are likely being committed by Tucker Qatarlson @TuckerCarlson and many Woke Reich podcasters on behalf of Islamic governments… https://t.co/ROdaMpkE3n pic.twitter.com/caXmIBdepE

Ben Shapiro demanded conservatives cancel Tucker Carlson or else America would cease to exist.
“A conservatism that treats Tucker Carlson as a thought leader is no conservatism,” Shapiro ranted during a speech at the Heritage Foundation. “If conservatives do not stand up and draw lines, conservatism and the dream of America itself will cease to exist.”
“Conservatism means something,” Shapiro added. “And if we refuse to stand for it and defend it, it will disappear.”
Katie Miller, the wife of Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, interviewed Hannity for her podcast and asked Hannity about his current relationship with Carlson.
Hannity said he hasn’t spoken to Carlson since Fox News fired him in 2023, but that he wished Carlson success with his podcast, which is one of the most popular in America.
“I don’t ever talk to him, ever,” Hannity declared. “I wish him well. I’ve read a lot of what he says. I just completely disagree with it. And it’s not the person that I knew when he was at Fox.”
Miller asked Hannity if his plan to navigate the fight by some voices to cancel was to avoid it entirely.
Hannity said he intended to do exactly that because the voices attempting to cancel Carlson were distracting from the main fight, which was against the left.
“I do. … And I’ve stayed out of it, if you’ve noticed. … That’s by design. To me, the big fight in this country is against the radical left. And [if] they all want to kill each other, have at it,” Hannity added.
Hannity also said he didn’t want to take part in canceling anyone because his success stood on its own, and unlike voices on the right trying to silence and deplatform Carlson, his success didn’t depend on destroying anyone else.
“I’m way past the point in my career, Katie, that I care at all about what other people are doing or saying,” Hannity added. “I watch it ’cause I have to be aware — and I read so much news, I can’t miss it. However, my interest in involving myself in it is zero. I don’t believe my success is predicated on tearing somebody else down, or their failure,” Hannity concluded.
