Bill O’Reilly has known President Trump for more than 30 years.
Trump feels like he can confide in O’Reilly.
And Bill O’Reilly said Donald Trump revealed one explosive secret about Iran.
President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran was the biggest call of his time in office.
Trump built a political following on the strength of his opposition to the Iraq War and his promise to keep America out of nation-building wars in the Middle East.
In an appearance on Chris Cuomo’s NewsNation program, Bill O’Reilly revealed that he discussed the Iran war with Trump.
And Trump was no war monger.
Diplomacy was his first option.
“He didn’t want to move,” O’Reilly began.
O’Reilly said Trump told him he offered Iran a deal on its nuclear and ballistic missile program
“I spoke with him at length on the phone, and he offered the mullahs a really good deal to get out of this, to give up their nuke program and their ballistic missiles, and the United States and other countries would then rebuild their economy, help them with safe energy,” O’Reilly added.
But O’Reilly said Iran rejected the offer.
“And the mullahs just basically said blank you,” O’Reilly added.
“We’re not going to do it,” O’Reilly continued.
O’Reilly said Iran’s refusal to bargain left Trump no choice but to take action, and that he didn’t have time to take Chuck Schumer and the rest of Congress’s temperature.
“So if you’re president and you know, there is a clear and present danger because, you know that the mullahs are reconstituting their nuclear program after being bombed out last June — you know that — and then the Persian people are on the up rise, you’re going to do it,” O’Reilly declared.
“And you’re not going to confer with Chuck Schumer before you do it,” O’Reilly concluded.
Bill O’Reilly reveals that he spoke in length with President Trump prior to Iran strikes and Trump didn’t want to have to go in.
He says Trump offered the mullahs an incredible deal and they still told him “blank you.”

The power to declare war rests with Congress.
But the War Powers Act allows the President a limited period to launch military operations before Congress must hold a vote.
That’s the authority O’Reilly said Trump relied on for the decision to go to war with Iran.
