Megyn Kelly Said She Will No Longer Use the Word Transgender
Megyn Kelly is one of the leading voices in conservative media against transgenderism, its radical agenda.
But Kelly realized just opposing mutilating kids’ bodies in transgender surgeries or opposing biological men in girls’ sports wasn’t enough.
Kelly wanted to take on the premise of the argument and, thus, on her show announced she would no longer be using the word transgender since doing so conceded the falsehood that transgenderism was a real thing to begin with.
“I’m done using the term ‘trans.’ Done. I will say someone is ‘gender confused ’–sometimes they genuinely are; sometimes they’re faking it. But there’s no such thing as ‘trans.’ That is not a thing,” Kelly stated.
Kelly went on to explain that you can’t be born the wrong gender, nor can you change your gender, so she would use the phrase “gender confused.”
“You can’t transition your gender. We have been engaging in this fiction for too long. We have been playing their game by using that word. That is a made-up word to describe something that is a mental illness for which people deserve compassion and empathy and support, not to transition themselves, but to get comfortable with their own natural, God-given body and biological sex,” Kelly added.
“I think the proper term is just that the person is ‘gender confused.’ For example, ‘it is a man who is gender confused.’ That is it. There is no more ‘trans.’ I am not using that word anymore. It is made up,” Kelly concluded.
Kelly’s Evolution on the Issue
In a 2023 monologue, Kelly told her audience she changed her views on this issue, as she used to think it was harmless to use preferred pronouns.
“I was an early proponent of using preferred pronouns as far back as the early 2000s, of saying ‘she’ when I knew the truth was ‘he.’ It seemed harmless, and I had no wish to cause offense. Trans people were tortured enough, it seemed to me, by nature of their dysphoria and society’s disdain for them in general. So, I complied. I went along with it. I didn’t see the harm,” Kelly told listeners to her podcast.
Kelly went on to recount how a man named Richard Thomas, pretending to be a woman named Lia, easily defeated female college swimmers like Riley Gaines when he swam at UPenn.
Kelly also revealed how woke administrators tried to brainwash her children at transgenderism at her kids’ school in New York City.
In her telling, Kelly expressed her belief that transgenders tricking people into using preferred pronouns was how they slipped the camel’s nose under the tent and gradually wore down society’s resistance to their agenda.
“They say pronouns are a gateway drug. They open the door to these lies that lead to real harm to real females. They’re a clever rhetorical trick that forces you to cede the argument about women’s spaces before you’ve even spoken one word of substance. People with genuine gender dysphoria can lobby to create their own spaces – I will support them; to create open categories in sport – I will support them,” Kelly remarked.
