One of the most hotly debated topics in Washington is whether Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will run for President in 2028.
Support for the idea of an Ocasio-Cortez candidacy popped up in a surprising quarter.
And Laura Ingraham endorsed AOC running in 2028 for one shocking reason.
Laura Ingraham Says AOC Should Run for President in 2028
Democrat Socialists keep winning primaries in House, Senate, and Gubernatorial elections.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani endorsed a slate of socialists that swept to victory in New York Congressional Primaries.
Abdul El-Sayed winning the Senate nomination in Michigan represented a tipping point for the socialist movement in seizing total control over the Democrat Party.
If the socialists were calling the shots, Democrats shouldn’t be able to hide that fact from Americans any longer, according to Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
Ingraham argued Democrats should plant their flag on their true socialist beliefs, which is why she endorsed the idea of Democrats nominating Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for President in 2028.
“I think really AOC needs to be the nominee in 2028. We have to have the debate once and for all. I’m getting tired of the little pit squeaks, I’m a socialist, I’m not a socialist. I do like America — no, no. They want to tear it down,” Ingraham stated.
In 2020, Democrats propped up Joe Biden as a front man, figuring voters wouldn’t suspect they intended to impose a radical agenda if a non-threatening, elderly, white man was the face of the party.
Ingraham said Americans should see an actual debate about the socialist platform the left supports and the America First agenda of likely GOP nominee, Vice President JD Vance.
“Now it’s time to defend how they are going to do that. We need her to be the nominee; it will probably be Vance, nominee for the Republicans, and we want that debate. Let’s have it. That’s who the party is, so let’s not pretend that it’s the party of, you know, approaching anyone, I don’t even know who is left anymore in the Democratic Party,” Ingraham added.
The Democrat Socialist of America Platform
Democrats are desperate to avoid this debate because the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) platform is truly radical and would result in the dismantling of capitalism and democracy in America.
The DSA platform calls for the government to seize control of major corporations.
And co-chair Megan Romer confirmed on Fox News that their organization supports abolishing the Senate, the Presidency, the Supreme Court, ICE, prisons, and America’s borders.
“Romer also affirmed the organization’s support for replacing the presidency and Supreme Court, abolishing ICE, eventually eliminating national borders while granting amnesty to people living in the country illegally, defunding the Pentagon, phasing out prisons and shifting most large corporations to public ownership.
She said some proposals, including abolishing borders and prisons, are part of the organization’s long-term vision,’ Fox News reported.
Ingraham is arguing that if this is what the Democrat base truly believes, which is evidenced by the success rate of DSA candidates in primaries, then the Democrat nominee in 2028 should reflect this agenda so the election can serve as a referendum on socialism versus America First.
