And the latest evidence that Weiss is no ally of freedom-loving Americans came when the Free Press shilled for Flock cameras, the 1984-style surveillance tool that is popping up across America and recording the public’s every move.
“Ever feel like you’re being watched? You might be right,” The Free Press posted to X. “But Flock Safety cameras aren’t interested in you—unless you’re a kidnapper, a thief, or up to no good.”
These cameras are increasingly unpopular with Americans who don’t want the government tracking their every move.
However, one of the Free Press’s early seed investors is Andreessen Horowitz, which is also the largest investor in Flock Cameras.
Flock Cameras Threats to Liberty
There are more than 100,000 Flock cameras stationed across America.
And police are using them to record every American’s movement by tracking their license plate and even cataloging their bumper stickers, even if they aren’t suspected of a crime, which weaponized Democrat governments could use to create enemies lists of Trump supporters.

Flock cameras allow governments to surveil every American without presenting probable cause to a judge to obtain a warrant, a direct violation of the Fourth Amendment.
“Automatic license plate readers allow the government to assemble a detailed record of people’s movements, with minimal effort and without any requirement of prior suspicion. This search-first, justify-later model amounts to dragnet surveillance, and it poses a serious threat to Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights,” Andreia Trifoi, Staff Attorney at the New Civil Liberties Alliance, told the Daily Caller.
Police are also abusing Flock cameras to settle personal scores.
One officer in Detroit used Flock cameras to learn the location of his ex 124 times and tracked the ex’s new romantic partner 55 times.
But the bigger danger comes from political abuse.
For example, governments can use Flock cameras to track gun owners when they travel to the range, allowing anti-gun officials to create a database of gun owners whose firearms they intend to confiscate one day.
Americans don’t need to think hard to imagine the horrors the surveillance state can impose on us thanks to Flock cameras.
And that’s why there is a growing movement on the right to ban them.
