Moore’s been a fixture in Democrat Party politics.
And now Michael Moore just delivered Chuck Schumer the worst news of his life.
Moore Calls for Overthrow of Democrat Establishment
The Michigan Democrat Senate primary between Bernie Sanders-endorsed Abdul El-Sayed and Hayley Stevens, whom Chuck Schumer personally recruited into the race, became the symbol of the socialist base versus the establishment storyline that is dominating the Democrat Party in 2026.
El-Sayed’s victory was just yet another data point confirming the socialist takeover on the left.
CNN’s Laurie Coats asked director and Michigan resident Michael Moore about what El-Sayed’s win meant for the future of party elites like Schumer.
“There is a clash between what people think is possible and what they think requires the continuation of some aspect of the status quo,” Coates began, “Does there require a change in the establishment and in the way things are done to effectuate the changes you want to see?”
Moore told Coates he would “get on my knees and beg” for the voters to oust Schumer and his fellow party elites, arguing that they led the party to defeat in 2024.
“If I could get on my knees and beg, it would be for exactly what you said, because we are not going to win the other way,” Moore declared. “We lost that way in ’24. It’s not going to happen if we allow this to happen. We are in charge of this, and we need to get busy right now.”
The Michigan Race Turns on Israel
Schumer picked Stevens as his candidate because she is a strong supporter of the state of Israel.
Many establishment Democrats are worried that socialists like El-Sayed, who call for the end of the America-Israel alliance and the cutoff of all funding and military support for Israel, will cost Democrats with the donor class and Jewish voters in key swing states.
Moore argued that Democrats needed a clean break from Israel, whom he accused of committing genocide in Gaza.
“It’s not about electability — let me tell ya, I’ve known Dr. El-Sayed for many years, I worked on his campaign for governor in 2018. Boy, we would be so lucky if he were our senator, representing us, and standing up for the people who are dying, dying every day over there,” Moore added.
Moore went on to say that he wouldn’t vote for pro-Israel “hacks,” whom Moore claimed cost Democrats the 2024 election.
“I will not support hacks — hacks in the Democratic Party who have led us to this Waterloo,” Moore added.
Trump won 46 percent of the youth vote in 2024, a result Moore blamed on Joe Biden continuing to send money and arms to Israel to support the war in Gaza.
“All the young people in the ’24 election are like ‘I Don’t want to die. I’m not gonna die. And we’ve got a Democratic president in that year who could not think of anything but to give an apartheid regime all the money they asked for to kill all the children they wanted to kill,” Moore ranted. “And what did we do as Americans? ‘Sure, take the money. Good for you, Joe.’”
Moore also fumed that support for Israel cost Kamala Harris the “Muslim and the Arab vote” as Trump beat Kamala in Dearborn, Michigan, a city with one of the highest per capita Muslim populations in America.
Israel continues to split the Democrat Party, and Moore’s hope to overthrow Schumer and other pro-Israel establishment Democrats shows that this Civil War on the left won’t calm down anytime soon.
